Tesu Concept Store in Matulji is that kind of place.

Step inside and you'll find our full Tesu ceramic collection — pieces shaped slowly by our hands, fired with intention, glazed with formulas that the two of us (Tea and Suzana) have been developing and refining for years. 

You'll also find specialty coffee, sometimes the work of Croatian artists and creatives who rotate through our walls, and often something playing softly in the background.

Here you'll encounter one-of-a-kind pieces that exist nowhere else: statement vases that took weeks to complete, bowls shaped in a particular mood, cups that carry the quiet trace of a hand pressed gently into clay.

We will walk you through how each piece is made.

Every piece was made by us, slowly, by hand, using premium stoneware clays fired at high temperatures and glazes we have developed — tested, adjusted, and tested again. 

No two pieces are identical. Not by design, but because that is simply what happens when human hands are the tool.

While you browse, there's specialty coffee. Because, if you ask us, ceramics and good coffee were always meant to be experienced together.

The Story Behind the Name

Tesuis a mother and daughter. Tea — an academic painter who skipped sculpture class at university and now can't imagine creating anything else. 

Suzana — warmth made human, the one who feeds an entire studio on coffee and whose presence turns any workshop into something that feels unmistakably like home.

The name came years before the business did. 

They were in Istria, tired after a day of work, dreaming out loud over dinner about what it might feel like to build something entirely their own. In the laughter and imagining that followed, Tesu was born — long before there was a kiln, a studio, or a single fired piece of clay.

Tea & Suzana. TeSu. It was always going to be both of them.

Tesu is a small, family-owned ceramics studio in Matulji, and you're welcome to drop in during opening hours without any prior booking. We love meeting people who love ceramics.
