A Week of Ceramics and Growth in Ljubljana
The workshop began on a beautiful sunny Monday, when the eight of us – women from across Europe – gathered in Ljubljana, in the spacious and light-filled studio of artist Hana Karim. We came from Luxembourg, Spain, Sweden, Romania, the Czech Republic, and us two from Croatia – my mom and me.

The studio itself radiates warmth and creativity, and Hana, as our host, was nothing short of wonderful. Kind, patient, and incredibly talented, she guided us through every step of the ceramic-making process. We worked on creating plates and cups, learned how to glaze, and explored shapes and colors in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Each day was special – with the smell of delicious vegan lunches served on Hana’s own handmade plates, and daily tea, coffee, and cookies, we truly felt at home. It wasn’t just a workshop, but a full experience – one that connected us, inspired us, and left a lasting impression.

The seven days went by so quickly that we barely noticed the end had come. We returned home full of new knowledge, ideas, and a renewed passion for creating. This experience truly feels like a springboard for our future in the world of ceramics.

A heartfelt thank you to Hana for everything she shared with us – her knowledge, support, and beautiful spirit. We’re already looking forward to new encounters!
